Research

I am a postdoctoral research assistant at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, at the University of Sheffield. My research is focussed on accretion in astrophysical objects. I have particular interests in the accretion discs and secondary stars in Cataclysmic Variables, and an active research programme into accretion processes in young stars, including how the accretion governs the stellar rotation rate, and using photometric variability to study the accretion process.

Recently, I have become involved in using ULTRACAM to study variability on the fastest timescales
