Dr. James Wurster

Last updated: August 2019
Welcome!
I am a Research Fellow in the Astrophysics Group at the University of Exeter.

My current research includes investigating the effect non-ideal magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) processes have on star formation and on the formation and evolution of protostellar discs. Details are summarised on my Research page and animations can be viewed on my YouTube Channel.

My technical expertise is in computational astrophysics, including code development (specifically the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics, SPH, method), performing large (magneto-)hydrodynamical simulations, and analysing and interpreting large data sets.
