This directory contains H-alpha profiles given in Appendix A of the paper titled: "On the formation of H-alpha line emission around classical T Tauri stars" (Kurosawa, Harries & Symington, 2006, MNRAS, xxx, xxx) ----------------------------------------------------------- * Remember that the hybrid models presented here uses the mass-loss rate (Mdot_wind) to mass-accretion rate (Mdot_wind) ratio (mu) of 0.1. Also note that ** For the model with Mdot_acc = 10^-7 Msun/yr, the magnetosphere has the max temperature Tmax = 7500 K. ** For the model with Mdot_acc = 10^-8 Msun/yr, the magnetosphere has the max temperature Tmax = 8500 K. ** For the model with Mdot_acc = 10^-9 Msun/yr, the magnetosphere has the max temperature Tmax = 9500 K. * File format The first column is wavelength in km/s. The second column normalized flux. The name conventions of the files in this directory are as follows 1. the disc-wind-magnetosphere hybrid models "mdotA_incBB_betaCCC_tDDDD.dat" ^ ^^ ^^^ ^^^^ *A indicates the mass-accretion rate. if A=7, Mdot_acc = 10^-7 Msun/yr if A=8, Mdot_acc = 10^-8 Msun/yr if A=9, Mdot_acc = 10^-9 Msun/yr *BB indicates the inclination angle in degrees. *CCC indicates the wind acceleration parameter value (beta) . if 0p2, beta = 0.2 if 0p5, beta = 0.5 if 1p0, beta = 1.0 if 2p0, beta = 2.0 *DDDD indicates the temperature of the wind in Kelvins. Example, "mdot7_inc10_beta0p2_t8000.dat" are computed with mass accretion rate : 10^-7 Msun/yr inclination : 10 degrees beta : 0.2 temperature of wind : 8000 K and the following parameters are implied mass loss rate : 10^-8 Msun/yr Tmax (magnetosphere) : 7500 K 2. the comparison magnetospheric accretion only models "ma_mdotA_incBB_tmaxCCCC.dat" ^ ^^ ^^^ *A indicates the mass-accretion rate. if A=7, Mdot_acc = 10^-7 Msun/yr if A=8, Mdot_acc = 10^-8 Msun/yr if A=9, Mdot_acc = 10^-9 Msun/yr *BB indicates the inclination angle in degrees. *CCCC indicates the temperature of the wind in Kelvins.
