Abstract: Various efforts and methodologies used to address atmospheric circulation and the climate on exotic versions of the Earth will be reviewed. In particular, unusual forcing regimes on oblique and eccentric versions of Earth will be addressed. Prospects and challenges for the characterization of climatic conditions on tidally-locked Earth-like planets in the near future will be emphasized.
